It is now December and I have just finished applying to colleges or universities. I feel like I now have a firm decision on what I want to do after high school, the only problem now is going to be deciding what university to go to once I get accepted. I am doing pretty well on all my classes so far and the end of the semester is right around the corner so I feel confident about my grades that I will be receiving at the end of first semester of my senior year. Senior year is flying by like I thought it would, knowing that there’s basically only one semester left before I graduate makes me nervous but excited at the same time. I hope that my GPA does not drop senior year, it looks like it will not drop first semester of senior year because I have been attempting level fours all semester long. While attempting them does not mean that I have received them all because they are not a piece of cake but I have got quite a bit enough to keep my GPA over average. My goal is not necessarily to be on pace on all my classes and pass them, my goal is to do more than pass them, go above and beyond what is required. I want to give other students that are smarter than me some competition. I can’t be satisfied with what most are satisfied with which is a basic level three. If I want to go to the college of my choice and graduate from there I need to be above average and I will not let myself stick to average. Throughout senior year thoughts have came to my mind of sticking to basic level three work and just taking it easy after that but then my mind shifts and tells me not too. I can’t be the average student, yes it might seem way easier but later on in life I know that all my hard work will pay off. As I stated in the beginning, I just finished applying to colleges and those colleges or universities are Sacramento State, San Jose State, Fresno State, and Stan State also known as Stanislaus. I hope to get into all of these universities because I am still not sure which one I should attend because they are all good schools and offer my major. My major is going to be Liberal Studies because I am trying to pursue a career in teaching at elementary schools, typically multiple subjects. I am about to start my last semester of high school already and the beginning of the real world. I hope the future ahead of me is as bright as I’m hoping it will be, I believe that with hard work and dedication it will be. So let's let this new and last semester at Lindsay High School begin and end, I can’t wait to be graduating with all my classmates. We’ve accomplished a lot together these passed years together.
